With over twenty years of experience in education, Glen VanDerPloeg helps students of all ages and levels achieve excellence in their writing, learning, and critical thinking. He specializes in guiding learners to approach even the most complex challenges through clear, logical steps—an approach that fosters both confidence and independence over time.

Glen has taught writing and literature at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, the University of Michigan, and a variety of public and private high schools. He has worked one-on-one with students as a private tutor in English, History, and Math, and as a consultant supporting homeschooling families. Before returning full-time to tutoring, Glen spent four years in the education technology sector, training teachers and helping schools implement digital reading and writing tools. A Michigan native, he holds a Ph.D. in American Literature from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. After hours, he enjoys pursuing his creative side as a songwriter and jazz musician.
