While employed as a math tutor in college, Mat discovered he had a natural ability to help others understand mathematical concepts. Graduating with a BS in Electrical Engineering from University of Nevada-Reno, Mat moved to Seattle to begin his career with The Boeing Company. At Boeing, Mat worked on military and commercial aircraft programs, focusing on jet engine control systems. During this time, Mat continued tutoring with family, friends, and as a community volunteer. Mat is enjoying retirement with the additional time to tutor students in math at all levels. In his leisure time, Mat enjoys living and exploring central Pennsylvania and camping in his RV throughout the USA.
